INTRO

Unit X started with an intro into Circle Square and what they want to create. The general idea i got was a development of green space in the city. The development is called Circle Square and is situated on the site at the bottom-end of Oxford Road down from to the Palace Hotel, which had previously been home to the BBC. Their pitch to us was that this development is going to be an eight year project, with new hoardings rolled out perhaps four times a year; wouldn’t it be nice if art students from across the road in the All Saints campus could somehow be involved. The project title – Circle Square – and the aspiration to bring different communities together in one location make this an inviting proposition.
I think in the groups we have been placed in it will allow the students to create interesting pieces for the project, with a very varied range of ideas and concepts.
My group seem really good and I can't wait to work with them.
